Licensed Mold Inspection & Remediation for Residential & Commercial Properties
When buying a home, it’s important to do your research and ensure you’re making a sound investment.
However, the home inspector may not always address mold issues during an inspection. In fact, some inspectors may exclude mold from their contracts in order to protect themselves from possible future liability. Consider hiring a mold expert to get a second opinion before making a final decision.
While mold itself may not cause significant structural damage, the conditions that allow it to grow can lead to more serious issues like wood rot. This means that surface mold can sometimes be easily hidden. If you have health concerns or allergies, getting a professional’s advice on mold in your potential home may be wise. A mold specialist can help you determine whether there are any hidden risks that could affect your health or comfort. Whether a home is new or old, mold can be a potential concern. A mold expert can help identify areas of potential concern and provide information about the extent of visible mold damage.

Equipment & Preparations
To check for and eliminate mold, we use specialized equipment and conduct thorough training to ensure safety, accuracy, and efficiency. Our inspectors typically use a moisture meter to identify areas with high humidity, which can indicate mold growth.
A thermal imaging camera can help detect temperature changes, revealing hidden problems with humidity. A microscope is essential for identifying mold species and confirming their presence. Protective equipment, such as gloves, masks, and eye protection, is necessary to prevent potential health risks from mold exposure.
Our restoration experts use specialized cleaning equipment, such as HEPA vacuums, scrubbers, and dehumidifiers, to effectively remove mold and spores. They also employ specialized tools for cleaning and disinfecting surfaces, including brushes, sponges, and antimicrobial solutions.
Before starting any restoration work, it’s crucial to conduct a thorough inspection of the affected area. This includes identifying the source of moisture, assessing the extent of mold growth, and developing a suitable remediation plan. Proper ventilation and insulation are essential to prevent mold spores from spreading during the manufacturing process.
Additionally, effective communication with customers during the inspection and remediation phases is crucial to ensure transparency and successful outcomes. By using specialized equipment, providing comprehensive training, and following strict safety protocols, professionals can efficiently detect, eliminate, and prevent mold issues in the future.
Questions & Answers
Do I really need mold remediation?
A mold test is the first step to determine if mold remediation is required for your property. Feel free to contact us for more information.
How much does it cost to clean out mold?
It depends based on the project and the mold test results and corresponding protocol.
Does mold remediation really work?
Yes, mold spores exist everywhere but the issue is how many spores are on surfaces and in the air. By reducing the number of spores we alleviate health concerns.
We remove visible spores on surfaces where possible through our remediation process and identify and remove materials that are saturated with mold spores, and for invisible mold we use Air scrubbers to reduce the spore content thereby improving air quality.
How many days does mold remediation take?
Usually about 3 days.
What is involved in mold remediation?
The first step is to stop the leak, measure for moisture, dry out using our machines (usually around 3 days), have an assessment and mold test done by a Florida licensed mold assessor.
After we receive a copy of the mold test we come out to an on-site review. We submit a proposal, and after agreed we start work.
We are very experienced dealing with insurance companies. On average it takes another 3 days from this point pending any surprises.
Can mold grow back after remediation?
Assuming the water intrusion or other causes is resolved with proper mold remediation process, and working with the best mold remediation companies, mold should not come back.
Does insurance cover mold in the house?
It depends on the cause of loss. ERC recommends reviewing your insurance policy.
Can you stay in your house during mold remediation?
It depends on the damage. We will need to access the mold damage to determine if it is safe for you to stay in your house. Your safety is our utmost concern and we need to evaluate the indoor air quality and other mold containment prior to answering this question.
